Alternate Curriculum

The alternate curriculum is created to cater to students with special needs who cannot access the standard general education without modifications. In such cases, an alternate curriculum program is needed to promote acquisition, fluency, maintenance and generalization of skills.

Children who are enrolled in the alternate curriculum have:

• May depend on others for many daily needs and are expected to require ongoing support even in adulthood

• Cognitive and behavioral levels that are significantly lower than that of their typical peers

• Benefit from an alternate curriculum

We provide alternative curriculum in form of:

• Positive behavioral support

• Reinforcement procedures

• Teaching of replacement behaviors

• Intentional systematic instructional methods
